Recently, I have been bombarded with questions related to fear.
It’s one of the frequent topics I discuss with my clients.
Most people know exactly what it is that they want to do.
“I want to be a motivational speaker. I want to write a book.”
They don’t know how to do it.
So how do you get beyond fear?
Just do it.
Right now, I’m doing some of the scariest things of my life.
I’m totally out of my element, still scared, but doing it anyway.
I wish I could say that fear goes away and that you will certain and confident.
The truth is it doesn’t and you won’t.
The fear of failure, the fear of not being good enough, the fear of being a fraud, the fear of disappointment….
It doesn’t go away. The bright side?
You always have a choice. You can choose fear or freedom.
I choose to be free.
I relinquish my Self of the fear of what’s to come.
I trust that my path is being laid.
I am moving forward.
And the fear is still there, but instead of being in front of me as a constant reminder of what I can’t go over, it’s behind me as a constant reminder of what I’ve overcome.
Instead of being a hindrance, it’s a motivator.
Want to start a business? Take a new class? Travel?
Just do it. Set a plan, work towards it, and don’t look back.
Working towards your dreams is a daily process.
The fear won’t cease to exist. Do it anyway.
If you start today, imagine how much further along you’ll be next month or next year?
